Systems Engineering and Integration

The information systems of the world continue to grow more complex and must interface with other technologies and systems, creating a system-of-systems.

Our Perspective

Cask’s systems engineering and integration professionals are subject matter experts at bringing together engineering and non-engineering variables and constraints in the development of large-scale capabilities and the integration of larger systems-of-systems. Our systems engineers understand the fundamentals of methodically engineering a system such that all risks are addressed at the appropriate time with the right emphasis to create a holistic approach in developing systems within-budget and on-schedule.

Why Cask

Cask uses known systems engineering processes and best practices; such as ISO/IEC 15288, the DAU V-Model, INCOSE, and even the original Mil-Std-499 processes.  We are able to apply the most suitable process and tailor it for a system’s life-cycle with consideration for all influencing variables. Our subject matter experts have very diversified backgrounds and experience in many disciplines giving us a unique ability to ask the right questions and ensure all aspects of system development are considered.

Our systems engineers understand the importance of identifying external systems and defining their interfaces. Today’s communication standards are continuously evolving and require diligent interactions with the other systems’ program offices to negotiate agreements for message formats, content, paths and standards to ensure smooth integration across large-scale systems-of-systems.
